what is allied health science foundation programme? / apa itu asasi sains bersekutu?

Hi, I wanted to create my first post something beneficial to others so I hope this can help all SPM leavers that is curious about this course in UPU. I am writing my experience as someone who applies through UPU on the year 2019 so it the process might be different as time goes by.

Allied Health Science foundation program in IIUM is basically foundation in science but your degree choices which will be offered are these seven following undergraduate degree programmes with a minimum CGPA 2.5 as a requirement:

1. Bachelor of Dietetics (Honours)
2. Bachelor of Audiology (Honours)
3. Bachelor of Radiography and Diagnostic Imaging (Honours)
4. Bachelor of Optometry (Honours)
5. Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours)
6. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours)
7. Bachelor of Speech Language Pathology (Honours)

In addition, all foundation students of Allied Health Science Programme will be interviewed according to their first undergraduate degree programme choice by the department.

Throughout your study life as foundation student in Allied Health Science, you will be having Medical students, Biosciences students, Dentistry students and Pharmacy students as your classmates and you will also be staying in IIUM Gambang Campus in Pahang.

In my opinion, this foundation programme is suitable for those who are already determine on what undergraduate degree progammes they are going to pursue.

Thus, this foundation progamme is also called as 'Asasi Tertutup' where the foundation students from this progamme does not have to register and apply UPU again the following year.

I think that's all from me. I hope I manage to answer your curiosity about this course.
Good luck for your UPU!
